Cat and mouse
Cat and mouse. I am lazy here being nothing much to do having eaten as slept. Dream perhaps of cat and mouse. In this I am the cat being a cat. Enough, the mouse, jump to action. Stealth, careful not to draw attention to one’s motives, closer, slowly, pounce. Kill mouse, eat if hungry. Toy with stunned mouse if not. Play chase. Lose, catch. Mouse trapped in corner. Fled into no way out but fight. Mouse fights cat. Bites claw. I’m in no danger bite if you want I’m killing you now. Why not? Cat likes mouse not to eat but help eat. They share cheese which they beg from the artist’s table. Such an amusing couple why wouldn’t he share them bits? So picturesque. So uncommon. Perhaps unique we might say. The only cat to love a mouse. The only cat that finds a mouse that lets itself be loved by a cat. Of the love of mouse for cat, trusting mouse. Indeed. Sleeping arrangements, snooze in purring cat fur. Cat considers loving dog as mouse loves cat. The artist preparing supper, scraps?
